What is your favorite remastered Gackt song?

Mine would be Kagero from the Gladiator Evolution soundtrack. I have to admit, it took some time to get used to it, because it didn't sound as on beat as the original, but I liked how it sounded. I was quite surprised that he remastered it actually! Now I can hear the words being said, and is it just me, or is there now a violin solo in it? :D

I have to agree with you. Re-mastered Kagero is now one of my fave songs amidst the litany of fave Gackt songs. (^_~) This isn't a re-master exactly, but my other fave "re-masters" are the Drug Party versions of Kalmia and ANOTHER WORLD.

I've always like the re-recording and arrangement of OASIS on the Sixth Day Seventh Night album, not better than the first recording from MARS, but I prefer it to the OASIS version on Gladiator Evolution.

I think I like that version also, but I forget the minor differences. But OASIS on the Gladiator Evolution CD was...okay lol

I like the Dears remastered I mean it sounds like it could take you to another world. But I would have to say ihe did a good job remastering mizerable and asrun dream. Mizerable still sounds classical but has the popish feel to it now. Asrun Dream is just sick. I liked the Mars verison but this one sends my veins pumping and makes me wanna jump

Ah, Asrun Dream. I did always wish he made the Ares song longer. :/ Such a beautiful song. Asrun Dream always made my ears hurt LOL

asrun dream isn't an easy listen since he's basically screaming in the mars verison in this one he's singing the words a lot more softer. I mean these remakes do show that his range has gotten better through out the years as well as voice control

Oasis from the Gladiator Evolution definately! I really liked the way they changed the tones on that.

Ah, it was quite nice! I preferred the other versions a bit more, but I thought this one came out well! It was a hard choice, since I had to take one or the other off my ipod. I didn't want to have the same song on there!

I love the new versions of Asrun Dream and Oasis on the Gladiator Evolution OST.

Asrun Dream because of the piano that's been mixed in with the guitar, and the vocals have more confidence. I don't mean in the sense that his voice is better, the tone is just clearer and more controlled. I do like the more "raw" sounding original Asrun Dream, the new one's just an awesome alternate version.

Oasis... well, I love it in all its forms, but I love the GE version especially for the way he sings the very last section - the vocals are suddenly really at the forefront and so clear, and it has so much emotion in it, more so than the Sixth Day version, IMO.

Hmm, never thought of it that way! They do sound like there is more confidence in his vocals, and thus the songs sound stronger. Intersting observation!
