Gackt has updated his blog. He's currently in Nagano, filming new music video (at 4 a.m.!!) They parted for the place of filming yesterday at 4 a.m., so it seems to be a 24-hours filming again. He still hasn't recovered yet and this sleepless activity isn't good for his health, of course. But since he's laughing, I hope it's not that bad. It's rather cold in Nagano now, and it's raining...
Well, he seems to be in a good mood because girls from staff unexpectedly have offered him chocolates for Valentine's Day. He was really happy about that (hmm, and I thought he hated chocolate... )
That's what I've understood. Please, look forward to the complete and good English translation =_=

upd. Here's a really good English translation of this Gackt's entry:

Date: 2009-02-13 10:22 pm (UTC)As I understood, these girls were not from his permanent staff, so maybe that's why he was surprised. Or it's because they offered him their presents at night, and he hadn't expected Valentine's Day to begin so early for him ^_~

Date: 2009-02-13 11:14 pm (UTC)My Japanese roomate in college told me about Valentines Day and White Day in Japan. My husband tells me that there is no tradition in English schools of sharing Valentines in class as we have in the States, at least in elementary school. In fact he was floored when we went out on a date and I brought him flowers. I'm blathering - but one of the things I like about getting into Gackt is how he becomes a window on Japanese culture.

Date: 2009-02-13 11:50 pm (UTC)I also learned about Japanese tradition partly because of Gackt, though our Japanese teacher told us about it in class. But then I read some Gackt's interviews around release of Love letter, and there were lots of funny stories about Valentine's Day... He also received lots of chocolate when he was at school and he had to eat it, even if just a bit, though it was rather difficult for him. And once he received a chocolate, put it in the bag with his PC and then forgot about it... and later, when he sorted out his PC, it was all stained with chocolate +_+ He also said he'd prefer to receive a tasty kimchi made by the girl herself... or just a kiss would be enough for him.

Date: 2009-02-15 12:39 am (UTC)It's nice to see Gackt posting a happy message, even though his tour and lifestyle don't allow him the privacy of real romance. I mean, here's the irony: imagine if you DID receive a Valentine card signed by Gackt - you'd know it was a wind-up (means a joke) even it is was for real.
As someone down below says, Gackt DOES work hard and he's chosen a very tough path for himself (always in the spotlight) so he must feel a bit wistful about the loss of intimacy sometimes, especially on a day like Valentines Day - so it's good to know that he's cheerful over his chocolates!

Date: 2009-02-15 12:31 am (UTC)In fact, the UK falls for the commercial side of the Valentines Day fuss (icky pink champagne, frilly heart-shaped balloons, plastic wrapped red roses, special dinners for TWO etc etc) rather than responding to the romantic aspect. I'd say that this trait is entirlely in keeping with the British character which prefers trade to imagination and the safety of a purchased product to the risk of a personal revelation!
