When I see pictures of him, just five years ago, he looks like his still has puppy fat, I love how his face has become more refined and scultped - and I don't think that's rhinoplasty! It's just the progression of age, even for Gackt, and he does take care of himself, to be in fighting shape. Fighto Gakuto!
I know what you mean. When I compare his look around the Moon era with the way he looks now, his face looks more slender and angular now - and on him that is definitely a great look!Almost unfair that for some people, aging makes them more beautiful, huh?
Although personally, as much as I like these pictures, I think Gackt is at his most beautiful when he smiles. Not the artificial smiles in front of a camera, but the "real" smiles that reach his eyes (he smiles like that a lot in the backstage vids or Platinum box movies I've seen.) He then gets those incredibly cute dimples and lines next to his mouth that speak of a person who laughs a lot, and his whole face seems to transform and start glowing. He looks more natural in those moments, and I've honestly never seen anything more beautiful.
And I agree with you about the rhinoplasty. I've seen people who had their face altered, and they looked so completely unnatural.... of course no one really knows whether or not Gackt ever had anything done, but IF he did, then it was done so masterfully that it looks completely natural :)
I think you're right about that. For years he seemed to have cultivated this almost stoic image where he sat through interviews and TV shows without even moving a muscle.
But over the last few years he appears to have eased up a lot in that regard, and it suits him incredibly well. There was never any doubt that he was beautiful and talented, but this "change" makes him even more likable and (in a way) approachable.

So it seems aging really only has advantages :)
