This is what happens when I get fed up with only doing art for schoolwork. Gackt sneaks into my digital illustration assignments.



Wasn't originally planning on posting it in, but was encouraged to, so.. ^^; 20 minute speedsketch sin reference. I want to do some more of these. And yeah, Bunraku's on the brain. XD

I have Bunraku constantly on the brain, 'cause I want more info. on it! xD Anyway, this is such an awesome sketch, I really love it! ^-^ The colors and the sketchy look of it just adds to the wonderfulness that it Gackt. Great job! (^^)b

Sigh. Gackt's just put out (this month) an interview which is about Bunraku (I think) but I can't read Japanese and I can't find a translation and the scans are on another LJ comm.

That's good! Did you get a positive reaction (if you showed this in class, I mean)? I like the way it's got a static quality (um - almost monumental) which is half way between Caesar's head on a coin and Important Person sitting for a portrait.

In my view, we don't see enough fanart around here so thanks very much for giving a neat example.
