2008年8月23日（土）・24日（日）の2日間、戦国の名将・上杉謙信公の遺徳をたたえる「第83回 謙信公祭」が今年も盛大に行われました。 2007年のNHK大河ドラマ「風林火山」で上杉謙信公役を熱演したGackt（ガクト）さんが、昨年に引き続き今年も参加。昨年以上に力の入ったGackt謙信のパフォーマンスに、全国から訪れた大勢の観客が酔いしれました。 11月30日（日）まで開催中の「越後上越 上杉戦国物語展」（会場：上越市埋蔵文化財センター）では、謙信公祭に出演されたGacktさんの様子をスライドショーで上映しています。 A slideshow showing (pictures) of Gackt's performance during the Kenshin Festival will be played at the Uesugi Sengoku Monogatari Exhibition until 11/30. 「越後上越 上杉戦国物語展」では、謙信公祭の様子を収録した「Gackt in 謙信公祭」を上映中です。 A (DVD) featuring Gackt's appearances in the Kenshin Kousai, "Gackt in Kenshin Kousai" is playing at the Uesugi Sengoku Monogatari Exhibition 8月22日（土）　～謙信公祭前日～ 8月22日（Sat）　～Day before the Festival～ 【上越市役所】 木浦市長を表敬訪問。市長が感謝状をお渡ししたあと、Gacktさんから、 中越沖地震の復興に役立ててほしいと義援金をいただきました。 [ Joetsu City's Administrative Office ] Paying a courtesy visit to Mayor Konora. After the Mayor handed (Gackt) a letter of gratitude, Gackt presented (to him/Joestu) a donation for the purpose of reconstructing the earthquake struck Nakakoshi 【記者会見】 再び謙信公祭に参加する思いや、上越市民へのメッセージなどを語ってくれました。 [ Press Conference ] Gackt spoke of his thoughts on participating in the Kenshin Festival again, and shared his message to the citizens of Joestu City 【林泉寺】 今年も謙信公が眠る林泉寺に足を運び、墓前に花を捧げました。 [ Risenji Temple ] This year as well, Gackt visited Risenji Temple, the place where Lord Kenshin lay to sleep, and offered flowers at the grave. 【春日山城史跡広場】 明日の本番に向け、入念なリハーサルが行われました。 ひとつひとつの動作を納得いくまで確認するGacktさんの、謙信公祭に対する熱い思いが伝わってきました。 [ At the plaza of the historical landmark, Kasugayama Castle ] An elaborate and careful rehearsal was carried out for the actual performance the next day. Gackt's ardent love for the Kenshin Festival was conveyed as he ascertains every single movement/action is to his satisfaction. 8月23日　～謙信公祭当日～ 8月23日　～Actual day of the Festival～ 【出陣行列】 会場となった山ろく線の沿道には、昨年を上回る数の観客で一杯。 久々に現れたGackt謙信の立ち振る舞いに、観客の視線は釘付けに。 [ Taking to the field (War Procession) ] Spectators filled (either sides) along the entire stretch of the route at the foot-of-the-mountain that became the venue (for the War Procession), with a turn-out that exceeded last year's. The specatators' eyes were glued onto Gackt Kenshin's every movement as he finally appeared. 【川中島合戦の再現】 日もすっかり落ちた史跡広場に、今年もGackt謙信が登場！ 武田信玄との三太刀七太刀の再現など、熱いパフォーマンスで観客を魅了しました。 [Re-enactment of the Battle at Kawanakajima ] The sun had set, and once again Gackt Kenshin made his appearance at the historical landmark's plaza this year too! Thanks for showing this - it looks fascinating (love the broomstick rehearsal scene! Think the Shingen guy should have had to use something domestic as well - like a dustpan!). And it always makes me smile to see 16th C armour against a concrete apartment block! The photos of Gackt are very nice to see in the full version. Thanks for the link.
