For ComicCon/ AnimeFest 2010 I decided I really wanted to cosplay as Gackt. However, I made this decision about 3 weeks before the event. It was a bit of a time crunch, but getting this costume made was such a pleasure!

I've been making my own Halloween costumes for many years. I also used to make puppets and I was heavily involved with a Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast for about 2 years making costumes, but this is my first attempt at, I guess what I would call "cosplay".

I really wanted to pick a cosplay that would look decent despite my very non-Gackt-like physical appearance. So I picked the Mizerable kago outfit for it's layering and ruffles. Makes it easier to hide a female body under there.

I change my hair color very often and I've been slowly going platinum for the past 6 months. I timed it so I went all blonde just in time for ComicCon in October to get the look from the Mizerable photobook.

At the moment, I'm planning on doing a nice photo shoot with this cosplay in some beautiful local places before the snow shows up. I'm also already planning cosplay for Otakon 2011. I've got the Vanilla PV, Ghost PV, and Lucy Camui on the table as potentials. Who knows, maybe I'll end up doing all three! XD
