Gackt's First Concert for Fan-club Notes

Two of Gackt's costumes, one the ZERO costume, which is based on a SS Officer's uniform, (all in black with the exception of a red tie on the black button down shirt) the collar boasts the Ghost Division insignia of wing and sword, the red arm band (without swastika) and a leather band lower on the arm which features (in French) 'Die and do not pass away' - not German, interesting. The jacket is hip-length with black riding jodhpurs, and knee high black leather boots.

What we'll call the GHOST costume, a long black coat with black fur collar covering a (sleeveless?) shiny black patent leather bodysuit, form-fitting, with over-the-knee black boots reminiscent of the GENESIS/Redemption costume.

Other notes:

Gackt asked fans to come back to many shows.
He spend a lot of money on the tour, and had to dip into his own funds to cover costs.
Some reports that he played all the songs from the new original album slated for summer 09 release!

YOU AND GACKT PLAYED A VIOLIN DUET
The story of Zero and the 4th Independent was made into a movie-quality experience shown before the curtains opened.
Since the song GHOST will be the theme for the Terminator-Sarah Connor Chronicles when it airs in Japan, a 'Cameron Doll' the female Terminator-cyborg of the show will be seen in the lobby of every Gackt performance.

Gackt Kamen Rider Decade

Gackt mentions in short interview that he hopes children will appreciate the new Kamen Rider Decade, and it 'gives a push to their backs' encourages them.

The theme of the song is 'Ghost in the Machine' or the screams of men who are trapped in machines, particularly relating to Gackt's character ZERO in Requiem et Reminisence 2, who has been turned into a Cyborg. The song is dance techno! The second song on the single is called 'Blue Lagoon'  single will also include instrmental versions of both songs.

GACKT AND KAMEN RIDER!

Gackt's new collaboration is with the decade-long running popular super-hero KAMEN RIDER! (The Kamen Rider series (masked rider) has been HUGELY popular in Japan since 1971, to the extent that two small planets were named after a lead actor from the show, and the show itself. The series has had a new popularity since 2000, including the most recent version KAMEN RIDER KIVA (with one of my fave actors Seto Koji)



TV ASHAI will produce KAMEN RIDER DECADE, to be shown spring 2009 Gackt wants to not only do the theme song but act as a villian, who's special moves are flying kisses and winks! To which 19 year old actor Masahiro Inoue, who plays the most recent incarnation of Kamen Rider said 'I want to fight GACKT!'

GACKT-SAMA's NEW SINGLE WILL BE TITLED 'GHOST' For release on January 28th, 2009.

Described as a 'power tune' that, can also be called an electronic dance music! (Oh Be Still My Heart) The title "GHOST" doesn't mean human spirits, but is an expression of the "Ghost in the Machine" (not a nod to the Police song of the same name) - a reference to perhaps, ZERO and the GHOST DIVISION's existence as cyborgs in the new RR Saga.

Shinseido is taking pre-orders now, as this store only ships within Japan, you may use the services of our community shop, I-TM4U to procure it from them. Shinsedio provided a special bag with the Nine Nine Box, so perhaps they will have similar promo materials?

Alice Nine will appear with Gackt on Music Japan, and one of the band members blogged briefly about meeting Gackt again after a long time.
