Some members have had questions about how to purchase items from our community shop, I-TM4U.

This is a personal shopping service, they do not carry inventory, like for example, YesAsia or Amazon.JP. It is specifically geared to finding overseas customers the same goods that a Japanese person can buy, acquiring them on your behalf, and sending them to you.

For example, certain Gackt items were made in limited amounts, and some never for sale, such as the first Kenshin Festival Posters, which were made with Niigata's public funds, however, some people did acquire them, and I-TM4U found me one through their network with Gackt fans in Japan.

I also belong to Arashi fandom, and I-TM4U sent an agent via a train to a distant location to wait in line for tickets for an Ohno Satoshi exhibition, to return the following day, again by train, just to acquire tour goods for fans overseas who otherwise would have no opportunity, and even with commissions and a standing fee, at a much cheaper price than purchasing goods at auction.

While many items will show up on auction, either Ebay or Japanese auctions, you have to bid, and hope you win an item. The beauty of your own personal shopping service, is that you pay a fixed price, you can also bundle items together and choose your method of shipping to save on costs, as shipping is often more than the price of a smaller item!

As your General, I do not personally have an advantage in promoting the service, (with the exception that I want the shop to continue and promoting it will help enable my Gackt addiction) but because I do, the shop gives our members a discount on commissions on Gackt Goods, whereas other customers must pay 15 to 20%.

I-TM4U has assisted members is getting their goods (self-ordered) from DARTS at no charge, they gave GACKT ARMY special deal on the Gackt Nine Nine Box with Eco-Bag only available to Japanese buyers, they have also helped members to navigate Gackt concert ticket sales through the fanclub Dears and Lawson at no charge. They have assisted in finding customers accomodation within Japan, and sent their tickets to their hotel at no charge, and have invited customers to their offices in Shibuya for a welcome. Which is another reason why I promote their services, it's all about the service and a desire to promote Japanese culture around the world.

How to Use the Service

Go to the website, if you are a first time user, go to Form B.

simply using the fields, type in your request,
if you have a URL for your request (so they can see what you want) type this in, or provide a picture.
put in the cost, if known.
add in comments if you are a GA member (after you've passed your two month interval)

You will receive an automated email with the details of your request.

If your request can be filled, you will receive an invoice, at this time you pay the item cost.

When goods are sent or arrive in the I-TM4U office, you are sent a second invoice, this is the cost involved in sending you your item or items by the shipping method you've chosen

After your second payment, goods are sent to you.

If you are confused by the site, you can always send an email stating you are having a problem, they will be happy to walk you through it.

This may mean that it may take a little extra time for your goods to reach you, however, I've never had a problem with any of my goods arrival, and I appreciate that I can acquire things I would never be able to get in any other way, and this includes not just fannish merch, but kimono, sake, bento, etc.

I-TM4U can also acquire concert, event tickets as well as items through Japanese auctions even if you are not a member of their service.

If you want goods that can be acquired easily online, like a regular Gackt CD or poster, this may not be the service for you.

I like to add my own comment to this. I had no previous experience of using this type of service but was desperate to get to one of the RnRII concerts so decided to try i-TM4U.

The i-TM4u staff helped me to find tickets (or the entitlement to two tickets! Let's hope the tickets issue as promised in March) for a particular RnRII venue (I'm so greedy - I wanted to combine Gackt with the good chance of sakura!) and then provided some helpful advice and research to consider hotel options in the same city. The i-TM4u staff have always responded carefully and promptly to my tiresome emails and I can't fault their patience and willingness to help. Their functional English is perfectly competent and, once you start a dialogue with them, they manage to make the transaction/request seem a lot less confusing.
