Kenshin Festival 2015 + Poster, 2014 Festival Memorial Page

It was officially announced that GACKT will play, for the 7th time, as Uesugi Kenshin in the annual Kenshin Kousai in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture.  The festival will be held on August 22-23, 2015.  In the press conference, it was said that after this year, G will take a break (from doing Kenshin Kousai).



The poster was just revealed today too.  It comes in B1 and A1 sizes and will be put up in Hokuriku Shinkansen line to Tokyo and the local public facitilies.  There will also be a tie-up with JR stations for further promotions.  The posters are planned to be sold later as usual.

TOTO-DREAM BIG Lottery CM

GACKT in a 10 Billion Yen lottery CM.

The English website Japan Times made it their CM OF THE WEEK.  The texts are partly translation of the CM.

Big: In a new series of commercials for the seasonal lottery Big — which is worth ¥1 billion — rock singer Gackt plays a wealthy man showing actor Hidetoshi Nishijima around his enormous home.

“This is just the garage,” Gackt says languidly, standing next to a helicopter.

“You really like money,” Nishijima says. To which Gackt replies that it’s not exactly that he likes money but that “money likes me.”

Nishijima asks him how he got so rich.

“Cleaning toilets,” Gackt says, and a secretary brings him his cleaning supplies. He climbs in the helicopter, presumably to go to a job. “It raises your fortunes,” he says.

And if you believe that, we have a lottery ticket to sell you.
