Here are the August pages from my 1901 Japanese woodblock calendar. Happily, the picture of the lotus pond perfectly matches one of the most well-known haiku by basho, where he basically says that you don't need to take your lotus flower to the temple for Heaven to appreciate it. The picture of Gackt is from the Dragon Incarnate photobook by seiichi nomura.
