Zero Hour writing challenge: The Code of the Soul - part I

Here is my entry (in two posts because of the length – sorry!) for the Gackt Army “Zero Hour” summer writing challenge. It is a story based on the original RnRII concept by Gackt Camui and, in the text, there is a game you can play by finding all thirteen RnRII song titles: Faraway, In Flames, Flower, My Father’s Day, Ghost, Jesus, Koakuma Heaven, Oblivious, Suddenly, No Reason, Sayonara, Blue Lagoon and Lost Angels.

Rating: PG-13 (some language, mild violence allusions)
Characters etc: entirely work and play safe, features Zero, Asakura, Maria
Genre: bit of a mystery narrative with added game (find the song titles)
Warnings: it’s a bit long for a tea-break! Otherwise nothing beyond PG-13
Synopsis: young woman is left a mysterious violin by her grandfather
