You would post this at lunchtime! My low blood sugar is playing tricks - I got "skin" and "lips" reversed in verse 2, line 2, which made interesting reading!
A Japanese friend who very much adores eating small red things (tomatoes, strawberries, cherries, red Smarties!) told me that there is a tradational game (maybe for weddings? can't remember exactly) which involves eating fruit hung off people - bit like apple-bobbing but with pepo instead of buckets of water! Your poem brought this to mind.
The initial "words" of each line of v2 are funny: ah mm oh you (- or You?)! Was that intentional??
I was going to grumble a tiny bit at you disappearing last week but I can see that you've been busy! Well done.
