Gackt on Ken Ogata TV Special
I've extracted Gackt's part on Ogata Ken's TV Special shown last Oct. 10 on NHK. Thanks to nozawanan for uploading it to VEOH and
ntkufreak for the heads up earlier and
lilbookofwords for the info (check previous posts).
Gomen, no translations or subs, and I wish I knew what he said. ;(
-edit- Check the translation by
anei_no_tsuki posted down the comments. Arigatou. *bows*

I tried my best at translating a bit, but there is a part I can't really make out, since he talks so fast :/
"It was the first time that from someone...
That from this person, I wanted praise.
That's how I felt/thought. It made me happy.
Because of this, I haven't been able to do anything completely on my own up until now.
(the part i can't make out)
For his praise, I wanted to try my best even harder in what I was doing.
That's the first time I started thinking like this."

It was really hard to watch...that lump in his throat was quite tangible...

It's painful thinking of how many he's already lost.

Even just watching this is heartbreaking, especially in light of how many people dear to him he has already lost. I can't even begin to imagine the pain he must be in at the moment....
Seeing his tears and honest emotions truly weights on my heart, but at the same time this public display of grief makes me love him even more, because it takes strength and courage to openly admit your feelings.
I have heard some people say that Gackt at times seems cold, aloof and almost inhuman, but his tears prove that he is more human and passionate than most people out there. This was honestly one of the most moving things I have ever seen.
Please be well, Gakuto-san. In our thoughts, we are all with you.
