"Gackt Live Tour 2008-2009 Requiem et Reminiscence II ~Rebirth and Chance Meeting~" Ticket Related Advisory

Thank you for always supporting Gackt. The first national tour in three years has been decided, and Official Fanclub Dears priority reservations have been carried out. The premium seats that are being introduced for the first time here, is not only to offer the experience of being close to Gackt, but also a reciprocal favor for everyone of Dears who have always warmly cheered for and sent power (to Gackt). However, in spite of our repeated warning and appeals to the contrary, it has been confirmed that resale of these tickets have been conducted. Regarding this fact, Gackt is extremely saddened and disappointed.

Dears members who have been selected for the premium seat will be required to provide photo identification for identity validation at the venue. Only the selected member him/herself will be granted admission and seating. Those who cannot confirm their identity as a selected member at the time of entrance or within the venue will be declined entry and requested to leave the venue.

In addition, the resale of tickets is not only causing troubles, but is in violation of our regulations. Please never purchase tickets from the internet, auctions, or ticket scalpers etc. Please be informed in advance that Dears will not be responsible for any trouble arising from this situation.

We hope that everyone will act accordingly with good sense.

thanks for posting (though the red is difficult to read on the black background of my journal!)

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 11:56 am (UTC)(link)
lol wait a min... They are actually SELLING their premium tickets? *facepalms*
I didn't know someone could be that crazy!

I had to convince my friend to call for 3845645 tickets for friends because of this issue though, he was afraid I was gonna sell all my extra tickets 0o

[identity profile] akogare.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well if you imagine the insane prices people would be willing to pay for premium tickets (including myself *cries*) it's not so crazy anymore ;)
I just pity those who unknowingly bought a ticket from a resale and won't be able to enter the venue :(

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, from that viewpoint, I understand. But then the other viewpoint tells me, if you're a somewhat dedicated Gackt fan and are truly interested into going to his concerts, I assume people know about the premium and regular ticket issue.

The ticket info is pretty much all over the place now, so i can't imagine (especially people in japan) to not realize that premiums are for dears.

But indeed, it is truly a pity, I can't imagine what I'd do if I knew I had a ticket and would be rejected at a venue for something I might really not have known about!

[identity profile] akogare.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 09:14 am (UTC)(link)
Mhm yes it indeed is hard to imagine that people who would shell out such a huge amount of money for a Gackt concert wouldn't be well-informed. But apparently it has happened...

I think though that the Dears who sold the premium tickets are at fault the most since clearly they know that they can't sell the tickets without them becoming invalid.

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 09:30 am (UTC)(link)
This is exactly why I was so surprised! It makes me wonder why they are actually a DEAR, if the original wonderful value of the ticket isn't enough for them D=
It's such a shame towards Gackt and the one who bought it.

*nods* It's a pretty mean thing to do. Gackt should post a message like this like with the Kenshin kousai; Sell them or you will be beheaded! XD

[identity profile] lilyginnyblack.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you for posting and sharing this info. Though everything I wanted to say has already been said...^^;> So, I'll just leave it at that. ^^

[identity profile] mun-chairudo.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 01:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Just this worst-case-scenario:
Imagine some psycho hating (!) Gackt, paying an huge amount of money to get a premium ticket, coming into the show and.. BOOM.

Yeah. I understand why they're so upset.
Why he might be upset.

[identity profile] mun-chairudo.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
umm.. I think my imagination is just quite lively >>'''''' but it's true that that's just one of many facilities for 'real psychos'

geez, I'm sorta disappointed, too. See, being in DEARS doesn't mean you are a 'real dear'. Making your own profit by re-selling premium tickets..

[identity profile] wongkk.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
If I were him, I would be upset, not particularly out of assassin fear (though it's a scarily good point), but because it is like offering a present (not an unwanted present - Dears members had to apply for these tickets?) and then finding that its value to the recipient is the resale price and not the fact that it came as a gift from you. It doesn't make it very precious, does it? If he wanted to offer something special for his fanclub members (I believe so), the specialness is spoiled by the introduction of the commercial element.

In fact, I've been thinking about the nature of the relationship between a "star" (for want of a better word) and his/her fans. Informally, it is a very easy relationship (the adored and the adoring!) but once you create a framework of formal recognition (registration, rules, privileges etc), the proximity to a contractual relationship opens up more likelihood of abuse (by its very "officialness", it has to feel less personal so there won't be such a strong guilt factor about trading on its advantages). Gackt is enough of a realist to understand this and, I hope, not to take it personally but I'm sure he does feel sad that it's necessary to discourage this behaviour (this "betrayal").

An informal offering of fanlove has the privilege of keeping its purity: there is nothing but the heart to abuse!

Sorry about the heavy bit in the middle but this has been puzzling me. There are so many well-defined relationships in the world (parent-child, doctor-patient, teacher-student, trader-consumer etc etc) but star-fanclub member isn't really analogous to any of the others that come to mind. It's brave of Gackt to tackle it! Lots of the Hong Kong stars will only allow a relationship with their fans through their recording company. It really is brave of Gackt to tackle it on his own, if that's what he has done (I don't know anything about Dears so I'm guessing).

[identity profile] b-briarwood.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 03:32 pm (UTC)(link)
If I thought I could get away with it, I'd take out a loan to go over there and see him. I just can't imagine anyone actually selling a premium seat!

He must be so disappointed...

[identity profile] cyanidedreams61.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Just making sure though, the ID checking is for premium seats ONLY right? Because I already requested three normal tickets from a Dear friend @.@

[identity profile] mingoes.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
worries too..ordered one too.. but I think it's ONLY for the premium seats. Dears are able to purchase 4 tix PER venue...and if they're not 'resold' than why buy 4 tix for just urself? So no worries there..
but please someone correct me if I'm wrong.^^;

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
As far as I know, there isn't any ID-checking on regular tickets, since those are going into the sales for non-dears members after this.

I have ordered tons of tickets for friends who are going with me or others or a group we're in, and my friendly person told me it wasn't a problem to buy regulars for non-dears members.
After all, they are meant for bringing your friends. So have fun at Gackt's coming tour! I might even spot you without knowing, lol XD

[identity profile] wongkk.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow - you all know so much stuff! I've no idea how to order tix so I've just asked a friend in Tokyo to run to the Loppi machine as soon as I can find out - in English, in the UK eek! - that the regular sales have started. Trouble is - the people who are best at finding the news and posting quickly have probably ordered tix n won't be so interested! And the time zones are against me cos Asia will have been awake long before me.

If you have any tips on where to look for news I'd be very grateful. Obviously I'll be looking here. I tried what I think is the Lawson ticket sales site but, of course, it's all in Japanese so unless I can see the word, "Gackt" on the front page I'm a bit stuck.

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, surprise is I'm an Europian girl myself (Netherlands!) but thankfully my Japanese skills have improved lots and my friend helped me out in joining Dears.
It's true you possibly can't know when regular sales start, NO ONE knows XD I guess it's best to keep an eye on Gackt's official sites.

It's such a pity though, it might have been an idea for you to post a request if a Dear wanted to buy a ticket for you, it might have been easier.
Unfortunately, calling in for tix ended this sunday so you'll have wait =(

It's good you have a friend in Tokyo though, so you won't have to turn to horrid auctions!

[identity profile] wongkk.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Sigh. I don't know any Japanese and I'm new to the Gackt laws of life. I only became interested in Gackt because, in one of his old blond phases, he looks so like Sanzo in the Saiyuki manga, and then I found one of his CDs in a secondhand shop in Hong Kong last December and - zap! - his music talent hooked itself into my brain and wouldn't let go!

Thanks for your advice. I don't know any other fans (would be shy about asking someone I don't know to buy something for me - they wouldn't know if they could trust me over the money or anything) and my cute friend in Tokyo sings in a classical choir and thinks I'm just crazy to be chasing over the world for a J-rock musician! Cos of work diaries, I'm hoping to get to one of the laster Kyushu concerts (e.g. Miyazaki or Kagoshima); hope Gackt can stay strong till the end of his tour! (well, and stay strong after, of course)

I will look at the Gackt site, as well as the Lawson Ticket one, but I can't read the Japanese so I really dunno what I'm staring at! If one of the bilingual watchers posts in English here or to dears LJ, then I do stand a chance. Hoping so anyway!

Impressive that you managed to join real Dears from Europe and can tackle the Japanese. Good for you - that's showing a lot of commitment. Thanks for sharing the benefit here for us.

We did more than one post in the community (for members only) about facilitating ticket sales, and members did help each other out, if you need help getting tickets contact me directly at my email address.

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-24 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I am not at all saying my Japanese is perfect, but all I know I learnt on my own, and I can't say it's an easy task to do so.
Haha, I can imagine it didn't take long for him to take over your mind! He did the same to me with just one song. Changed many things for me once that started.

Now I saw Karadin's comment, I totally forgot about that!
Also I'm sure if it comes down to it some will get sold maybe on Livejournal, I've had someone who already had to sell their tickets, so keep your eyes open!
Haha, well, I wouldn't say you're crazy. Gackt is an exceptional artist, I'd say it's more than worth it traveling to Japan to experience him live.
Pity you're not going for Okinawa, I won't have time to go to the Kyushu concerts! It seems those tickets are easier to get though, so you might get really lucky with those =)

Im sure the English version of the Gackt site may be updated, but there's always LJ! GA And pixiezdust will definitly beat me to posting it, I think.

I think, this is the best complement put in words I have gotten as a Gackt fan from anyone, so thank you very much!
I'm crossing my fingers and toes for luck with your tickets!

[identity profile] wongkk.livejournal.com 2008-08-28 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm - if you're pleased with my compliment, you've only yourself to thank cos you earned it.

The amount of knowledge and dedication shown by the English language fanbase is really impressive. Everyone has so much energy here - my other fandom is much more slow-moving! Need to whisper in case they're listening

Okinawa? Is that where you're going to the concert? I got confused when I looked at the map: couldn't tell where in Okinawa (Naha?) the concert hall is. Of course, Okinawa would be wonderful because it's Gackt's home turf. I'm pleased that you think I might stand more chance with Kyushsu; I'll be happy with anything, I think.

You're right: Gackt is an exceptional artist. This is the justification for my craziness! I didn't choose to be crazy but at least I can devote my craziness to a worthwhile cause.

Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate the interest from someone with more experience and knowledge.

[identity profile] cyanidedreams61.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see, well, in that case, I'm relieved ^^;; Thanks!
So have fun at Gackt's coming tour! I might even spot you without knowing, lol
I'm sure I'll be very easy to spot, I'll be the retard running around not knowing what to do, where to go, and spluttering in English pleading to random people to help, while in the verge of tears XD

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-20 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
^^

Lol, that'd be quite a sight. XD;
Don't tell me you're going all alone, though D= What shows are you planning to go for? ^^

[identity profile] cyanidedreams61.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Nah, I'm not going all alone, my parents aren't OK with me travelling so far alone, so they're tagging along ^^;; But my mom only speaks Chinese, and although my dad is as good in English as I am, he's sadistic and would love to watch me freak out while using the excuse "we're here because of you, so we're gonna rely on you, now go find out on your own (while I watch, full of mirth)!!!" I was going to go into the concert hall alone, but since I couldn't find a concert buddy in time to ask my Dear to help me get the tickets, they're also going watch the concert with me (they're a bit overprotective). I'm going to the 1/6 show.

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
haha, I know the issue of over protectiveness, though for mine the border lies until flying to Japan XD The issue is too I have to stay there for 6 months anyway, so they have to leave me sooner or later. I'd say having parents is good during the flight, Ive never flown before, so I'll be scared to death XD It must be a funny experience to watch Gackt in concert with your parents!

And lol, my dad is always like, "muahahaha she's desperate!!!" *enjoys* XD

Wow, why didn't you take both 1/5 and 1/6? But still fun! It's nice to see that so many Gackt fans are going this year =)
If you're still in for hanging out with a few of us, don't hesitate to poke though ^^ We'll be with lotsa people so your parents don't need to worry!

[identity profile] cyanidedreams61.livejournal.com 2008-08-21 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I've flown a bunch of times before (although never that far ^^;;) but never alone (usually family members would be travelling with me).

lol, it would be a very funny experience to watch a Gackt concert with my parents! "*poke* why is that man grinding that other man?"
Me: "...uhh......". I can pretty much already picture their O.o;; faces XD

I think seeing one show is enough, so I only watch 1/6 (plus, I don't want to empty my pockets so quickly ^^;; ). I am definately interested in hanging out! (*plots to mooch off the ones with Japanese skills XD*) Sounds like lots of fun ^^

[identity profile] anei-no-tsuki.livejournal.com 2008-08-24 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, lucky you! One thing I'm hoping for is that I won't vomit in the plane... that would be so embarrassing XD

*snorts*
Now I'm hoping he'll do something really naughty, even if it's just for the sake of shocking your parents and all other older people XD
Mine have gotten used to it, but maybe that is the reason they won't ever come with me!

Ah, yes, true ^^ Although I expected his concerts to be more expensive actually, compared to others I've gone to, he's quite cheap!
Awesome! I'll probably be with another person with more Jap skills so that makes a good team!
Shall I add you to my FL then? ^^

[identity profile] cyanidedreams61.livejournal.com 2008-08-24 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure! Please add away ^^ *just added you*
