Gacktesque Doll

I would like to get into the hobby of ball-jointed dolls, but so far it's out of my price range, but I know a lot of our members are into it, and I'm always looking for a Gackt-like doll.

This is pretty close, ne?  This is a limited Super Dollfie, made by Volks, to some the premier maker of ball-jointed dolls, Ryoya Konoe even comes with jewelry!

*post edit* I wouldn't be surprised if they were using the face mold from the exquisite Heian-Era (Hikaru Genji) doll from last year's special edition, for you who like Gackt as Uesugi Kenshin

If you are into any hobby or craft that's Gackt-related, let us know!
(other than making Gackt paper dolls, I am trying to figure on whether to make Gackt Chibi plush dolls, or BJD's)

My mom and I are crazy into the BJDs, and I can tell you that some of the recent dolls are becoming a gateway into Gackt-worship amongst the doll community, lol. There's some striking similarity, and since the dolls are customizable, you can make your doll even MORE like Gackt. We've been trying to get this very doll. :)

Ah, he really looks much alike Gackt^^ I'd gladly bought it... but real Gackt eats all my money ^_~ Not that I'm complaining though.

Btw, I've recently bought a BJD which strangely reminded me Gackt, though it's a chibi. Maybe something in his gaze...

Why not try modeling a bust of Gackt in low-fire pottery? Then, for eerie lifelike appearance, you can make a two-part plaster mold , cast it in way, and set in glass eyes. I did stuff like that years ago, when I used to work with an antique dealer and learned a bit about repairing antique dolls.
