Music recommendations for Gackt-sama

What music would you recommend for Gackt to try?

Even this question stumps me! I'm quite fond of Weiss Kreuz music, including Gluhen, so I would recommend music from that anime. It's easy to listen to, it can keep you active with some songs, and it gives you a sense of nostalgia. At least for me it does lol

First would be Keith Jarrett's jazz piano music. I think Gackt would appreciate his musical ability. Another one would be Keane and the last one I'm not sure if he already listens to it or not but Wang Lee Hom's last 3-4 albums.

that sounds pretty nice! I don't listen to jazz most times, but jazz is always so mellow and calm, really suitable for Gackt!

I'd recommend him Muse because I recommend Muse to anyone who deserves to listen to good music.

and I agree, in some respects. Muse are a lot harder and maybe a bit more progressive than Gackt, but the classical piano/rock guitar combinations are common between them.

You might like this song too, it's mostly piano (with a backing bass and drum, of course). Epic song. :D

Actually, I really wish Gackt did some more songs a la Freesia. Piano with a backing band, or backing synth, or whatever. I melt whenever I hear that song.

Oh, and trust me, Muse are a GREAT band to get into! Fantastic guitar-lines, synth-lines, not to mention Matt's ridiculous falsetto range.. (compared to your average rock band, anyways).

omg... Mad Scientist... that's probably the best way to describe them. Most of their songs have to do with.. world domination, to some extent XD government conspiracies, etc etc..

It's his own fault, I think! He goes to too many hardcore-type concerts. :P I've had only bruises left from concerts, which is astounding considering how small and weak I am XD

Oh, yeah, the guitar parts were pretty Metallica-ish. (that's not even a word.) But I think the vocals were super pop-punk.. which makes me think of recent Green Day, or Good Charlotte or something. :P

the DVD for Muse, you mean? or any concert? Myeeh, I've survived the Nine Inch Nails pit twice, I think I can hold my own. ;)

What music would i recommend for Gackt...ohh!! is very good question. me i recommend non asian music. (this my opinion only music no see they^^). and from sme of they i reall want covers, my dreams is covers, will be exellent:P

Let's see...music that I would recommend to Gackt? Enya. I recommend her all the time. Her music is just so soothing, it could put you to sleep. In the good way. And, her music works wonders for background noise when doing work or studying. The style is just so relaxing, nice and calming, which I think Gackt needs every once in a while, ne. ^.~

...wasn't he holding an Enya CD in his mouth in one of the photoshoots he did a while back? *blink*

I would recommend him to try also some slovak or czech music like Jana Kirschner, Desmod, Krystof, Hapka & Horacek, Cechomor, ... [I wrote the names without diacritics, you can look them up on youtube too ^^]

I havent heard of many of these artists. It seems music is even wider than I thought. I just live in a bubble :D

lol XD I don't think you do - if you would, you woldn't know japanese music either XD
and me - I don't know a lot about other music too, I think. ^^; but sometimes, when I have time, I love to listen to a world music radio program about local music in countries all over the world [usually there is a lot of music from small musicians with their specific nice music, not the big stars ^^]
btw I just updated my journal with a concert from a czech musician Divokej Bill & Čechomor - I wondered how Gackt might react if I took him to such event ^^; XDDD I wonder if he would like it ^^
