Which celebrities have a sexy voice? Oricon asked a thousand men and women that question in a poll taken last month. Masaharu Fukuyama unsurprisingly landed at the top of the list of male celebrities, though actress Aya Sugimoto was a more unexpected choice to lead the female list.

Fukuyama's closest competition was from Shosuke Tanihara and Hiro Mizushima at #2 and #3, respectively. Kirin's Akira Kawashima placed 4th, above popular actor Hiroshi Tamaki. The bottom half of the top ten consisted of Gackt, HYDE, Jin Akanishi, Hiroshi Abe, and Koshi Inaba (of B'z).

On the women's rankings, Kumi Koda came in second behind Sugimoto. Actresses Miki Maya, Hitomi Kuroki, and Rieko Miura took the next three slots. Ayumi Hamasaki was #6, followed by actress Kaori Momoi. Ringo Shiina, Yukie Nakama, and Norika Fujiwara completed the list.

Number 6 for Gackt? ah well we all know if we had our own poll, there would be no contest for the top spot ne?

I always wonder how Gackt is actually received in Japan (I've heard everything from that he's immensely popular to he's about as respected/ACTUALLY liked as Britney Spears is here...) -- so thanks for the poll. :)

I do hear that no matter what people think, everyone does agree he's beautiful. XD

I have to say that I'm rather picky when it comes to voices, since a sensual voice can be one of the most attractive feature in a man. Look at Alan Rickman :)

So I checked out the number one, and wasn't really that impressed. Personally, I think Gackt's voice is a lot sexier. So nice and deep and just slightly throaty *shivers*

But in the end it is all up to personal taste :)

As for how he is perceived - isn't it usually the case that the greatest and most talented artists polarize the most? Being everybody's darling is boring, and Gackt may be many things, but boring isn't one of them.

Like the post above mine, I so didn't think it was the smex, Gackt's was far sexier! But, like the post above mine also said, it is a matter of personal opinion. Oh well, these polls are always fun and interesting in there own way. I'm just glad that Gackt is on the list and made top ten! (^^)b That is quite a feat within itself. ^^

...ok, I can agree Sugimoto Aya has a SEXY voice. She was a better Queen Beryl than Han Keiko. Nicer boobies too. :D Koda Kumi has a really cute voice... not really sexy, but thats what's popular. In person her voice is very nice, but I wouldn't go as far as #2 nice.

I'm glad to see that Gackt is on the list, even if he's #6. I'm also glad to see Hiroshi Abe on there... :D His voice is rough but hot. Yum.
