Word and image

The autumn here has no bright orange leaves or cheerful yellow sunshine.  Instead, there is a savage wind flogging clouds across the sky and a damp, grey chill in the air to prevent the mud underfoot from drying out!  Here's a W&I to suit:

This piece - in the original - is an older man's poem but Gackt, as ever, manages to make it his own.  The photo comes from Shoxx magazine February 1999 and I presume that the copyright in the picture belongs to the Shoxx magazine publisher, Ongakusenkasha Co Ltd.  Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ananda for finding the source of the photo for me!  I've given the source credits for the poem on the image itself and this English haiku version is mine.
