Word and image

The autumn here has no bright orange leaves or cheerful yellow sunshine.  Instead, there is a savage wind flogging clouds across the sky and a damp, grey chill in the air to prevent the mud underfoot from drying out!  Here's a W&I to suit:

This piece - in the original - is an older man's poem but Gackt, as ever, manages to make it his own.  The photo comes from Shoxx magazine February 1999 and I presume that the copyright in the picture belongs to the Shoxx magazine publisher, Ongakusenkasha Co Ltd.  Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ananda for finding the source of the photo for me!  I've given the source credits for the poem on the image itself and this English haiku version is mine.

I've never experienced and Autumn like that before, I'm quite used to the colors changing and the smell of dying leaves in the air. But, I think I got a sense of this kind of Autumn from this Word and Image. The picture and the poem fit together so well. Thank you for posting and sharing it! ^-^

Lol! xD You're welcome. ^^ And thank you for the descriptive image of Autumn in the UK. The leaves haven't changed yet here in the eastern part of the United States yet either, but that's going to change fairly soon. ^-^

aww... Gacchan looks like a lonely poor wet puppy. Someone needs to pick him up and bring him home to a nice warm basket with fluffy blankets by the fireplace, feed and cuddle him lots. ^_^
