After last weekend's re-enactment excitement, here's something cheerful for this weekend too.

This photo is one of a triptych (three separate & related pictures, in this case boxed together as a single panel) which was, I think, published in the 2003 book, "Hyde and Gackt: Moonchild", a spin-off of the film. I'm not sure of the copyright ownership but it looks as though Wani Books was one of the publishers. The words are mine.

I'm always amused at the way Gackt doesn't seem to be carrying any extra weight in this pic - just looks as though he's wearing a scarf or something!

Aha, one of my favourite pictures! Even though I don't fangirl this pairing much but I love the cheerfulness of this picture and your poem speaks of friendship, strength, warmth and trust. A perfect match!

Yes, this is one my favourite pictures too: there's something about the relaxed figures and the golden colouring of hair, skin and sun which is a happy match to the best features of friendship. I definitely wasn't making any pairing statement with the poem, btw. I wanted to say something to show how looking at an uplifting picture, such as this one, is like having a friend carry you along the way when you're tired and surrounded by dull things. In a nutshell, Gackt improves the day for so many people!

Oh, that picture is just precious and I really adore it (along with the poem). Everything about this Word and Image captures the close friendship that Gackt and Hyde have, and is very easy for me to relate to, since it reminds me of my friend and I. We've been friends for 13 years now and are like sisters. Really lovely, thank you for posting and sharing this! ♥

I'm very pleased that this resonates with a RL situation for you - and that you liked the combination of word and image, of course. Sounds like you and your friend have a relationship to treasure. They say that, in your friends, you see a reflection of yourself, so a history of 13 years sure says something admirable about your loyalty. Nice!

I'm pleased that you like the match of photo and words. The picture is a "good time" favourite of mine and I had to overcome the suspicion that pinning a message to it might spoil it (it hasn't - but I get hung up on these daft forebodings sometimes!)

Requests? Yes, I'm happy to try if you have one. Obviously, the more concrete your request is (e.g. if you have a picture or type of picture in mind, and/or a sentiment or message or mood, and/or a format - haiku, lyric, modern, trad, rhyme, free verse, etc) the more likely you are to be pleased with the outcome. I can't make any promises in terms of inspiration but I usually enough ideas to come up with something! Also, I'd be more than willing to try my best for someone whose translations have added enormously to my appreciation and understanding of the Gackt world.

You've seen the way he trains? He's pretty damn strong! Even my kung fu teacher can't do the one-hand handstand with such a straight back or pull ups on a square beam without using the thumb. Truly awesome.

Yeah, I half-closed my eyes, imagined Hyde not there from the waist up and saw Gackt in a scarf or big collar!

And I'm glad my translations are helping. I feel kinda guilty coz I haven't had time to do them in a while. ^^; I've been busy trying to get a website up for World Dears this past two weeks, kinda miss doing translations. Hope to get back to it soon.

We don't see so much of the care-free Gackt these days; he's become much more obviously conscious of his responsibilities - just hope he does manage to have some care-free times still, even if they are in private.

I totally agree with that, because his work had tripeld recently (with all his activities). We can only wish that he'll be able to have some moments of genuine relaxation. the pic justs shows him (and hyde) in something like their very own self...

Oh btw, I happen to read your reply to maygray, Saiyuki happen to be one of my writing outlets too (before I got itno a forced fic hiatus). :D

Ah, you like Saiyuki, eh? Then it might amuse you to know that Gackt was first drawn to my attention as a Sanzo-lookalike (in one of his blond phases). It was a while before I discovered that he was a decent musician - and longer still before I found out that his temperament is entirely suited to being the high priestly, super-powered leader of a random gang of talented individuals!

WeI hope you find your way back into fic one day: the world needs good Saiyuki writers.

Really!?!?!?! cool! I only saw cloud in him. Maybe that's because I only see those pics with that look. I haven't seen much pics of Gackt in his blonde phase. "It was a while before I discovered that he was a decent musician " same thoughts since my first Gackt vid happened to be Vaniila (Mars live). Traumatized me in some way... ~.~

I'll be back into writing once I don't have much schoolwork to think about... :D the world needs us! :D
