Discussion Topic - The Platinum Box

Every Christmas holiday, Gackt treats his fans to a Platinum Box, these boxes have featured videos (and now discs) of Gackt with new videos, and making of features, as well as behind-the scenes of tours, fanclub meets and fanclub concerts. Past boxes have featured cards, gifts and contests.

Now the boxes have begun to feature themes with Gacchan, that he creates specifically for his fans, (for example, playing cowboys) this year's box featured Gackt taking the members of his band to a theme park and undergoing challenges, as well as trying to make surprise visits to fans - one of the more unique challenges being that Gackt had to think of what complaints his staff were making about him - "make more music?" He's not afraid to show himself vulnerable to his fans, (especially vulnerable in the foot area)

I love the Platinum Boxes for their attempt to get something personal of Gackt out to fans - if anyone cares to discuss the boxes, comment here, but please refrain from matters of cost and the Dears/non Dears versions, thank you.

I always wondered what the criteria is for the contents of the DVDs. Should it depict his natural side, like how he acts with his bandmates? Or should it be like a mini movie? lol I've never seen a full platinum box dvd before, only clips ^^;;;

Do any other artists have this kind of dvd? I think this is really nice to see our favorite artist out of context like with behind the scenes footage.

I also wonder what the box gifts have to do with the contents? Last time it was a USB device shaped like a lighter, and before that I think it was an ashtray? O.o These gifts aren't relating to contents ar all. lol

*wants to buy one next year* @.@ I always become poor when they get released! -_-

Love the boxes. I don't own one (yet), but can imagine how wicked it will be all of his bibles lined up in my bookcase ^^;

Some scenes does look like an act, because they seem to hold back. But I doubt it's rehearsed and scripted.

I liked them cowboying and eating, but I think I preferred more behind-the-scenes footages. Where they're goofing off and and still see their serious side when working. You know work hard - play harder. Not that they're not allowed to have fun ofcourse.

In his hero-movie, didn't he also held an bible in his hand. So it's giving us the same; holding a bible of our hero. ^^ I like that

Gifts were included from PB 4 or 5 onwards, no? Of all the gifts, I like the clock the most. and it matched the bible theme too. the cards are also cool I think.. but indeed the others are a bit off theme.
