Still no distribution for Bunraku -sigh. Guy Moshes said "That’s why you go out there and hope the audience responds and they spread the word. "
Ok, I'm willing, how exactly does one do that, besides blogging? Maybe contact your local theater chains and ask if they plan to carry it? They'll say they don't know at this phase, but at least they will have heard of the film and know there is customer interest.

I think there is some distribution to other parts of the world, if not the US, but the film festival circut is still going this year, so don't give up hope.

Theater chains really can't help when it comes to getting distribution, (a friend of mine has a family that runs one) they choose films to play that they know will bring in tickets, it's up to the distribution company to convince them to buy it.

That's what I thought, so who is the festival audience supposed to spread the word to?

The distributors - watching the entertainment press for reviews, so if people respond favorably to press releases as well as blogging on their own.

And here is the thing, if Gackt fans go on about him - to the exclusion of everyone else in the film - that's not gonna sell Bunraku to US distributors, because Gackt isn't the draw, yet.
