I really love Vampires in Victorian London.

I love the coloring, I am a sucker for the hats/canes look and the tummy showing is a biiig plus.

I love all of them though, and my second favorite was the Asymmetrical Flared coat.

Man this was hard! I went with the Eternal Struggle costume because I think it would read well on the stage, and Gackt tends to go for a tailored look, the corset at the back is kinky, and I'm a sucker for long gloves. Not so certain on the ribbon detail on the front, but the red color is right - and the costume is body conscious as well, doesn't cover him up, because after working long and hard on his physique, he needs to show it off!

Hey, wow!

Everyone has worked really hard&all of them are really cool&hot..!

But have to admit that I like "Vampires in Victorian London" the most. However, somehow I have the feeling it's very "Moon Saga"-ish; with the Vampire &um... "gothic" theme.

I suppose "Eternal Battle..." would fit into the R+R theme nicely, for it reminds me of some kind of uniform!

And for hotness&creativity I'd go for the General's submission "Prince of Hell";

I don't know which one to pick..
Actually I can imagine Gackt wearing all of them, too..

you know what, I could totally imagine a combination of the asymetrical coat and the angelic gackt-design- preferably in black*hihi* -that would really work out in my opinion! -he could slowly strip the coat like in drug party...yum~~~ >:D
a pity I wasn't able to finish my idea, I'm so slow...>_<
perhaps I'll just post it as a fanart sometime*g*

OMG these are fantastic! WHERE HAVE I BEEN!?

loving the vampire one (yes, does remind me of Hyde) and the shibari one is epic! see-through hakama FTW!

I think all these entries are wonderful though! I dont think I would have done any better. >.>

Finally - I managed to scrape enough spare minutes to get my head round these: I've tried several times but each costume needs to be looked at in such detail to do it justice that the exercise has taken a while.

My vote goes to the vamping Vampire but I wanted to give a quick note of good things I found in each. So...

- Light & dark struggle: the formal styling and black/red colouring is a complete match with Gackt's RnRII imagery to date. I also liked the way, first, that the colour choices complement the fact that he's keeping his natural dark hair colour and, second, that the tight shaping/lacing suits his build.

- Angelic: the arm bracers and cut-away styling provide another good showcase for the Gackt build/bodywork. Also, it is totally in keeping with Gackt's meticulous and incisive personality that he'd want to have metaphorical clothing!

- Flared coat: Again, the choice of red for the lining matches Gackt's red choice (e.g. tie) in his Zero costume. The flare and full length of the coat are a good shape for Gackt's height and build.

- Romantic: the model image used here was wonderfully Gackt, but a later Gackt which is quite arresting in conjunction with the earlier Gackt/Malice Mizer style Romantic clothing. The frills and pants are certainly something that he has done well!

- Vampire: The black/red colouring is the perfect choice for Gackt's current persona thinking, and the intricacy of the cropped top lends itself to the sort of detailing and jewelling that Gackt likes so much. I particularly enjoyed the warped fit of the high Victorian cut with the contemporary cut-away midriff! The presentation of the design with the cane detail and hat, gloves and top, allows for much attention to and embellishment with accessories which is, for me, a significant part of Gackt's on-stage presentation at the moment. The idea of dark-haired (and no doubt dark eye-liner-ed!) Gackt glaring out at his victims under a tall stove-pipe hat is deliciously scary! All the designs for this contest are good, interesting and appropriate, but, for me, this one wins.
