Lu:na masks

A few years back I was huge into cosplaying (mainly Gackt, of course ;) ) and during this time I also made these masks. I recently rediscovered them and since I still think they're awesome, I wanted to share some photos.

The one with the wig is of course from Sixth Day & Seventh Night (for some reason, I ended up naming him Kurt :D;) and the others are the dancer's masks from Kagen no Tsuki. All designs except for one detail on one of the dancer's masks are the same as the originals.
Kurt now sits here and makes an awesome room decoration. Plus, the hair glows in the dark :x

Very nice work. I wish I had the time to really research the symbolism of Kabuki and other Japanese masks. About all I know is that red indicates a good character.

A long time ago I saw a photo of a mask that was apparently offered as Sixth Day merchandise - it had sort of a spider-web design on one side of the face, which was close to stage makeup that Kami wore.

It was official, sold in a very nice box. I'll prowl around the net and see if I can find a photo. I think I did something simple like a Google image search : Gackt mask, but it over a year ago.

Yep, those were official Gackt merchandise from the SDSN tour. They were over $100USD, and one time, I even saw a fan selling one, alas, could not afford. ;(
