Haha well, half of it was due to personal experiment. During the summer in Dec/Jan 2007/2008, I felt that the sunlight was very strong. Extremely strong and I really, really, really wanted sunglasses.
I wore a pair for like an hour or two and when I took them off (for like cleaning I think it was) I swore like a bitch and put them back on again. Didn't take them off until I was at home (with the lights off) and the sun was halfway set.
Although my desire for sunglasses was strong, my worry for becoming dependent at a young age might compromise my future. O___o Well, I was worried I'd become too dependent (the word I used at the time was addicted XD) and could become unable to stand taking them off even when indoors.
I live in New Zealand and when I was little, I was taught a bit of Maori culture and the main things that have stuck to me is that you don't put your ass on a table and you don't wear caps indoors. It's rude towards the ancestors - something like that. And with the no caps indoors thing, I somehow kept thinking that also meant no sunglasses indoors as well. So with this belief, I really didn't want to become dependent on sunglasses just in case I hook up with a Maori family and they think I'm a rude barbarian because I sit my ass on tables, wear a cap and sunglasses indoors. XD
My dad used to not wear sunglasses all the time but now he always does when outside. I heard him talk about how his eyes seem to have become more sensitive to light so that's kinda also holding me back on starting with the sunglasses. O_o
