I think the sunglasses are more likely, to cover up the fact that he's not wearing eye makeup. I concur; I've always joked about it anyway XD

Because he almost always is, wearing his blue contacts.
I suspect his contacts are indeed presription lenses for that very reason. Which sort of bring backs to the astigmatism and the light sensitivity.


When they got him in costume, he refused to take pictures without his contacts in. That; I did not know though I cannot say I am surprised - they're one of his trademarks after all.
